Clinic

Lellie’s system is based on teaching riders to keep their horses balanced, straight and supple. She calls her system “body identification,” a method that focuses on using specific parts of the rider’s body to make contact with corresponding parts of the horse’s body to influence balance, shape, submission and overall performance. In order to develop basic concepts and techniques, Lellie prefers to evaluate riders and horses on the flat before proceeding to jump work, at rider’s request.

She promotes safe and effective riding in the discipline of one’s choice – whether it be eventing, dressage, foxhunting, hunter, jumpers or recreational riding. While also hosting USEA Events and schooling competitions at her home farm of Paradise in Aiken, SC.

All levels of riders and horses are welcomed to attend and enjoy a better communicating ride with their horse! This is for EVERYONE who rides, not only competitors and experienced horses.

Drawing on over 35 years of teaching experience, Lellie offers real life analogies that make even the most complicated technique easy to understand and apply. Lellie’s diverse background includes; holding a USEA Level III certification, certifications from Germany and the UK, competing at Rolex Kentucky Three Day event four times on three different horses AND Master of the Aiken Hounds for thirteen years while leading the Field for 23 years, ridden Prix St. George in Dressage and the 1.40 meter in show jumping! She created the very successful Fox Hunting Safety Clinics throughout the US and was regional safety director for the MFHA (Masters of Foxhounds Association) promoting safety in Foxhunting.

All levels of riders and horses are welcomed to attend and enjoy a better communicating ride with their horse! This is for EVERYONE who rides, not only competitors and experienced horses.
