Are you ready to add some equestrian fun into your child's summer plans?  Here we go!!

VS camps offer lessons both in the saddle and on the ground, crafts, free time, pizza party and lots more activities to fill our days at the barn.  Below all of the following information is your online registration form!  Please contact us with the form to the right of this page for any questions you may have BEFORE registering.   Camps are designed around the level of campers signed up for each week, so all levels are welcomed and encouraged to attend!  Campers must be at least 7 years old  and 18 years of age or younger.  

General layout of camp weeks, this is only a guide and maybe adjusted due to age of campers, level of experience, and special needs or considerations.  Meet and greet session for campers on mondays, followed by group activity to get to working with each other.  Fridays we will have a themed party for lunch time as determined by campers if they would like.  Through the week they will be learning through hands on activities about equine care, feeding, stall care, arena care, setting up patterns with cones or barrels, setting up jumping courses, learning to ride a dressage test, wound treatments and so much more. 

Beginner Level:

     Focus for the beginning level rider and those who desire to see of horses would be a fun activity for them.  Level of experience needed:  NONE!  Also for those who are walk or walk/trot only. 

     Dates: June 26-30, August 7-12;  Full day: 9:00am to 4:00pm $280

     Dates: June 26-30, July 17-21; Half day: 9:00am to 12:00 noon $150

Novice Level:

     Skill level: walk, trot, canter working towards pole work and small jumping courses.  Campers do not need to be jumping courses but getting ready to start or continue their experience over fences.  Campers will experience the basics of dressage tests, small courses or grid work (from poles on the ground up to 2' depending on each campers comfort level), wound care, boots and wrapping of equine legs, advance grooming methods, bit and tack fitting, and a project to work on for the week. 

     Dates: July 10-14     Full Day: 9:00am to 4:00pm  $280

Intermediate Level:

     Skill level: walk, trot, canter, jumping 2'- 2'9".  Ready to grow more as a rider and horseman?  This is your week! Working on the finer details of equitation, courses and flat work.  Explore a mix of different disciplines, advanced grooming methods, braiding, wrapping skills for protection and supportive use on the horses and much more. 

     Dates: July 24- 28    Full Day: 9:00am to 4:00pm  $375 with your own horse (includes stabling or pasture, $425 with one of our horses.

Advance Level:

     Skill level: w/t/c, jumping 3' plus.  Intense camp with improving form, horsemanship care, show prep work, courses, grids and flat work related to laterals, collections and medium gaits.  Bring you own horse camp weeks.

     Date: July 17-21  Full Day: 9:00am to 4:00pm  $425 includes stabling/pasture

Attire: All campers must wear boots (with rubber soles and heels), long pants while riding, may bring shorts for when not riding on hot days), short sleeve or polo type of shirt (NO sleeveless or tank tops), swimsuit and towel optional for playing sprinklers or the like on really hot days.  Helmets are REQUIRED to be worn at all times when mounted (we do have some for use, if your child has his/her own please bring with them on camp days).  Safety vests are highly recommended if camper has one.

What to Bring:  Sunscreen, bug spray, extra waters to keep hydrated, extra snacks, each day a packed lunch except on fridays.  


Discounts:  Camp paid in full by April 20= 15% off regular price

Camp paid in full by May 15= 10% off regular price

Multiple camp weeks for same child= 5% off regular price for each camp after the first week.     

Registration Process:  Once we receive your online registration you will be sent via email a confirmation. To hold your child's place in camp we must receive a 50% non-refundable deposit within 7 days of receipt of your online registration.  Camp space may be limited and is on a first come, first paid deposit basis.  Each camp must have at least 4 campers, if less you may pick a different week or receive full refund.  Please mail a check payable to Jennifer Clouser, or cash may be dropped off at the barn, 3668 Enola Road, Newville PA 17241.  Remaining balance must be paid in full on or before the first day of your chosen camp(s) week.  To obtain an early payment discount total fees due must be in our hands by the cut off dates (April 20 or May 15).  **Any returned checks will incur a $35.00 additional fee, total balance due or being paid at that time + the additional fee will be due in the form of cash only. **Any payments received on the first day of camp shall be in the form of cash.

Stabling: If stabling is not included in the price of camp you may still bring your own horse or pony!  Cost is $15 per day OR $60 for the week.  Camper must supply all hay, grain, buckets and anything else your horse or pony will need for comfort.

A parent or legal guardian must fill out any medical forms, release forms, and information sheets as requested by Virtue Stables, managers, owners, or staff.

We are here to help make your child's summer or winter one to remember!  Experienced instructor(s), experienced barn staff and fun ponies to safely (as possible that is while working around horses and ponies) learn with and gain experience!
